Rifflandia Entertainment Co is producing The Monster at Royal Athletic Park. The Monster is the world's largest inflatable obstacle course and we are lucky enough to be its first Canadian stop from June 8-11.  
The minimum age to volunteer is 15 years old and we think this could be a great opportunity for high school students and/or classes! The link to apply is here! Volunteers are compensated with 2 free ticket codes for every shift they complete.

​The Kinetic Youth Employment Program is committed to sponsoring young workers in the SkilledTradesBC, Youth Work in Trades program to first obtain their first 480 hours towards their apprenticeship and 16 high school credits.
Kinetic can further support those youth to fulfill the 900-hour requirement to obtain the $1000 Youth Work in Trades Award. Kinetic acknowledges the need to help grow young workers and to create a safe, inclusive environment where they can thrive.
 
Kinetic Youth Program Will Provide
  • Green hard hats to ensure recognition as young workers. This will ensure higher visibility and accountability to other employees.
  • Standard High Visibility vest and safety glasses
  • Specialized Courses such as SiteReadyBC and Fall Protection
  • Specialized New and Young worker safety orientation. 
  • Mentorship with another Carpenter to help them expand their knowledge and skills.
  • Monthly check in with supervisor 
  • Customized training for our supervisor centered around supporting young workers and ensuring their safety
The program will only be offered to full-time placements, and the hourly wage for the students will be $22/hr who are registered as First Year Apprentices. Note: This position is exempt from the KEA collective agreement as part of the Kinetic Youth Program.
Students must be prepared to travel to their daily job site. Typical hours will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am – 4:00pm. Students will be notified if there is a variance in these hours. Placements will be approximately 12 weeks in length.
