springboards -Special one day opportunities

Springboards provide an opportunity for students to spend a day exploring potential career paths with our community partners. This is a great opportunity to connect you with professionals currently working in the industry. You will have the chance to find out about their path,  what programs and tools should you be exploring, the education required for a given career and what a day looks like in a given career.
Most Springboards run once per school year and are open to Greater Victoria high school students in most grades. The more interest students show in a given career, the more likely the Springboard is to run.  For more information, contact Ms.  Giesbrecht in the Career Center.
Springboard #1  -     On Friday, February 17th, we are partnering with Pacific Design Academy (PDA) to enable 20 of our district high school students to explore and experience Interior Design and Fashion Design through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and discussions with PDA instructors:  Students in grades 10-12 are welcome to apply and can pick up an application in the Career Centre from Ms. Giesbrecht.  Applications are due back to Ms. Giesbrecht on or before Friday, February 10th.
