Search & Rescue Outdoor Academy

The 2018 Search and Rescue Academy is now accepting registrants.  This all-inclusive academy is run in partnership with the Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue, Tribune Bay Outdoor Education Centre, and School Districts 69 / 71.  Registration is open to both local and international students ages 16 and up.  The academy will run 13 days from March 25th - April 6th and includes all food and accommodation.
 
Successful candidates will receive:
6 high school credits
30 community connection hours
St John’s Ambulance first aid certification
Ground Search and Rescue Technician Certification from Emergency Services BC
 
Our goal is to provide information resources to each work experience/counseling offices in Districts around the island to better reach eligible students with this great opportunity.  I have attached a poster for you to view and distribute as you see fit.
