Emily Carr University Summer Institute for Teens will be facilitated online this year, making it easier for students to participate in this exciting pre-university program.
Summer Institute for Teens (SIT) July 5-30, 2021 Ages: 16-18, or have completed Grade 10 by July 2021 Featuring small classes taught by professional, practicing artists and designers, the Summer Institute for Teens prepares students for the next step in their creative careers. Students spend four weeks engaged in intensive studio practice, where they develop a range of technical and creative skills, and create new work for their portfolios. Students have a choice of 10 online studios in a range of disciplines in the fields of visual arts, media and design. No previous experience in the subject area is required. By the end of the program, students will have broadened their understanding of art + design, created exciting new works and participated in an online exhibition with their peers.
